About Our Founder and CEO, Dave Lanstein
Dave Lanstein is the Founder and CEO of Multiple Organics Inc., a wholesale supplier of over 80 different varieties of high quality, organic-certified bulk goods and ingredients sourced from organic farming partners in over 30 countries around the world. Over the past 20 years, Dave has dedicated himself to growing the organic movement and creating a safer, more sustainable food supply from farm to table. In 2001, he launched Multiple Organics based on these principles and since then has been recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in America by sources like Inc. magazine and the San Francisco Business Times.
A modern-day food safety pioneer, Dave disagreed with the way that many food importers "traded" food like a commodity without regard to safety and so he went to work to with some of the country's top food safety experts to develop the Multiple Organics Safety and Testing (MOST) program. This comprehensive program ensures that safety precautions are taken at each step of the supply chain, including regular personal visits to suppliers who undergo a rigorous audit performed by a third-party food safety expert, as well as requiring that each lot is tested for dangerous pathogens by an independent lab before product can be released to clients. Recently, Dave was featured in an article published by Food CEO for his multi-level, stringent approach to food safety. Through the Multiple Organics Foundation, currently under development, Dave's next goal is to share these safety and sustainability lessons with farming partners around the world, helping them implement systems to create healthier, safer food and communities.
